Peak into the riveting life of Nikki T
I was born March 25, 2003 in Santa Barbara Ca. Always at the front, I ran free with my family, side by side with my father.
He taught me to be independent and told me that I was the smartest pup in the litter. He explained that when the time was right, I would have to find my own home so I could build my own life. He felt I would go far and I would be very successful. All I had to do was to pick just the right person to take me to my new home! It was a piece of meatloaf! Because I am very intelligent, I knew how to convince my potential new housemate to choose me over the other pups by just using my big dark eyes to dazzle her! She couldn’t resist me. . .When I arrived at my new Casa, I discovered the largest canine I have ever seen. Her name was Natasha and she was a giant German Shepherd.
In no time at all, I was calling the shots! I had her feeding me out of “her dish” (it was too high for me to reach) and giving me all her dog bones. All it took was my special way of looking at her and she surrendered her best treats just to keep me happy. She was my very best friend. . .I discovered the work place with my housemate. I let her know early-on staying home and doing nothing was not my cup of kibble. I met lots of very interesting humans and even got involved with many events that raised money for low income hungry families. They also helped the older senior humans. Some of them seemed to have lost their families and homes, and all that bothered me a lot! For the first time I thought, “what if that were to happen to me? Suppose no one wanted to keep me, I might not have enough food to eat or a good place to sleep at night, I could lose my position in life just like my paw prints disappear after a walk on the beach.”
The most Amazing thing happened. . . .
I was watching Animal Planet when I saw the saddest announcement about all the abused, hungry and mistreated animals. The announcer said that they were asking humans for money so they could help all the animals have better lives. That’s when I asked, “do humans really care for animals so much that they would send money to help them, even when they didn’t really know them?” I was told that most humans really love animals and they want them to have better lives just like the kind of life I have and those with extraordinary hearts are very generous in their support of Animals. I wondered if animals ever tried to raise money for humans suffering from these very same problems? That’s when I decided there was something I could do.I have been a part of a lot of fundrasing events. I have worked at the Unity Shoppe for almost 6 years, and even if I do say so myself, I have a lot of fans who love me. Why not follow in the footsteps of Kenny Loggins, Peter Noone and their Fan Clubs? They always SEEM TO BE HELPING the Unity Shoppe so a lot of humans can get food and clothing. There are so many of Mr. Loggins and Mr. Noones’ fans that love to come to Santa Barbara to work with us. They are such good humans. So I decided to follow in their human-steps and use my “celebrity” to do something really special.
An Animal helping humans makes real good dog-sense to me.
